These remedies are able to provide some smoothing effect and lighten the dark circles. Again, individuals results may vary and it is advisable to test remedies at least 2 – 4 weeks for visible results.
Home remedies for reduce dark circles under eye
- Mix one teaspoon flour, one teaspoon milk, a pinch of sugar, 1/4 spoon honey and squeeze half lemon juice. Apply it on face and once it is dry, rub the face with wet hands, till the pack in removed.
- Grate cucumber / potato and squeeze fresh juice out of gratings. Dip two cotton balls in it and keep these cotton balls on eyes. This relaxes eyes and relieves tiredness of eyes.
(Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase, which is used in cosmetics as a human skin lightener.)
- Powdered fenugreek and milk are said to tackle dark circles. Apply a paste of fenugreek mixed in milk on dark circles in the night. Wash off in the morning and watch dark circles vanish for good.
- Take a teaspoon of tomato juice, a few drops of lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder (if you are not allergic to it) and a little flour, enough to make a paste.
Home Remedies - Part 2
- Apply a mix of milk and honey and massage it into the skin. Leave it on for an hour. Rinse it.
- Massaging eyes with almond oil is (or with half teaspoon of lime juice) of great help.
(You might develop some oil seeds under eye after applying almond oil.)
- Apply a mixture of lemon and tomato juice (equal parts) on the black circles 2 times a day.

- Dip two cotton balls in rose water and place them on your eyes.
- Alternate hot and cold compresses under your eyes for 10 minutes.
(Do not apply ice or extremely cold water directly to the skin around the eyes for more than a couple of seconds.)
Home Remedies - Part 3
- Squeeze juice from 1 large orange and 1 lemon. Then cut half of the orange and lemon skin (from which juice was extracted) into pieces and put a couple into the juice. Pour boiling water over and mix up. Add a tablespoon of honey into a pint glass and add juice (which u made), mix up and lay back for the best pint ever!
- Place pumpkin slices on your eyes and relax.
- For dark circles around eyes, grind 5 almonds, 1-teaspoon fresh cream, juice of half a lemon, 1/2 teaspoon fuller’s earth and 1/2 grated potato, to a thick paste. Apply it around the eyes. Wipe off with cotton wool dipped in warm milk.
